The Monticello Motor Club Racing Track is now open in Monticello New York. If you are dreaming of taking your car to the track to see what it can do, it is now possible in the New York area. All you need is extra cash, a lot of extra cash, $125,000 to join the club plus an annual $7,500 annual maintenance fee. Jeff Gordon is said to be a member.

 Of course there are plenty of other private race tracks like this one (there is one close to us in Cresson, TX), but this one is perfectly slated to be the playground for Manhattan residents who want to get out of the daily traffic jams and have some fun on the road.

I found this magazine ad at a local hotel while I was waiting in the lobby for a business partner:

I wonder why the doctor in the middle has that funny smile and his face turned all red. What is he doing to the nurse on the right? I am not sure I want to know…. If I had to find a doctor’s office for an annual exam I don’t think I would chose them.

I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. “Do you need some help?” I asked. She replied, ” I knew I should have replaced the battery to this remote keyfob. Now I cannot get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a store) would have a battery for this thing?” I replied:” I don’t know, does your car have an alarm?” She replied:” No.” as she was handing me the keys. “Why don’t you drive over to the store and ask?” I told her as I inserted the key into the lock and manually inlocked the door. “it is a long walk.”

The LA Auto Show had  some very cool cars on display.

The V6Performance.Net forum shows some photos of the cars the Sultan of Brunei owns. I am not sure which magazine the photos were taken from, but the sheer number of exotic and luxury cars is astounding. Not only does he have some very rare small serial production cars in his collection, but also some unique hand-built models and custom designs.
